Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, court staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government courthouse location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, entrances, hallways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and public areas, verify identification and/or visitor authorization when required, and report suspicious behavior, prohibited items, and/or policy violations in accordance with post instructions.
- Support courtroom and administrative operations by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with directional questions, and following post orders related to daily schedules, restricted areas, and/or high-traffic proceedings.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Qualifications
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Job Schedule: Day Time, Saturday 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM, Sunday 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
