Security Officer - Part Time Patrol

As a Security Officer - Part Time Patrol in Tempe, AZ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or patients by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions that may require attention.
• Monitor entrances, exits, hallways, parking areas, and/or other assigned areas while following post orders and reporting security-related concerns in a timely manner.
• Support daily operations by assisting with visitor direction, credential verification, and/or other security-related duties consistent with an unarmed patrol post.

Requirements

• Six or more months of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour
• Schedule: Daytime, Thursday 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
