About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. Your visible presence, professional communication, and attention to detail will help deter incidents while supporting smooth operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor access points at a logistics and distribution location; verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain accurate access records.
  • Respond to access-control issues, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify security-related concerns.
  • Observe inbound and outbound vehicle activity, support delivery and shipment access procedures, and report unusual activity in accordance with site policies.

Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$21.00 / Hour

Schedule

  • Wednesday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
  • Thursday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
