Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer in a busy retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. In this unarmed patrol role, you will respond to security-related concerns with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach while delivering reliable and innovative service.
Schedule & Pay
- Position Type: Part Time
- Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour
- Job Schedule: Thursday 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM, Friday 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through proper channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may need attention.
- Monitor access points, observe pedestrian and vehicle traffic, and help to deter unauthorized activity, loitering, and/or policy violations within the location.
- Support property personnel and/or public-facing operations by offering directions, answering general questions, and reporting maintenance, lighting, and/or housekeeping issues that could impact the location.
Requirements
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
