Security Officer Part Time Northeast Austin

Fixed-Shift Commitment

You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program

In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Support a professional workplace environment by communicating clearly with site personnel and following Allied Universal and client site policies.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
