The Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position provides a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands‑on experience, or work toward a full‑time career with the industry leader. As a Security Officer Enhanced Part‑Time Mobile Patrol Driver in Lorton, VA, you will have a reliable base schedule with the ability to pick up additional shifts for extra earnings.
Pay
Pay Rate: $18.30 per hour
Schedule
Day‑time anchor shift with optional additional shifts. Current anchor shift times:
- Saturday: 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM
- Sunday: 11:00 PM – 06:30 AM
Shift commitment is six (6) months. The “Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift” program allows you to work part‑time one week and full‑time the next, up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while carrying out site‑specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and surrounding perimeters, adapting to varying working environments.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established site protocols.
- Observe and report unusual activity, hazards, and security‑related concerns to appropriate personnel to deter unauthorized access and support a welcoming environment.
- Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and other documentation in accordance with site‑specific procedures.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 6 months of security‑related experience.
- Valid driver’s license (required for driving positions) in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21 + for armed roles).
- Pass a background investigation and, where permitted, a drug screen.
- Licensing requirements may apply based on state or local regulations.
- Preferred: Pepper‑spray certification, CPR/First Aid certification.
