Security Officer Part Time Lobby Services

About the Role

Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced for lobby services in Austin, TX. This position offers reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn additional income by picking up extra shifts. It is ideal for candidates looking for part‑time employment with the potential to scale up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week.

How This Role Works

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six‑month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. You can work part‑time one week and full‑time the next, based on your availability.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service at the front desk by greeting visitors, contractors, employees, and vendors; verify authorization and follow site‑specific access procedures.
• Monitor lobby activity, visitor logs, access control systems, and other assigned security‑related equipment in accordance with site policies.
• Issue visitor credentials, maintain accurate entry records, and direct guests to appropriate areas while supporting a professional, welcoming environment.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly; promptly notify appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel as directed.
• Support security‑related procedures for a technology, media, and telecommunications location, including receiving deliveries, managing access requests, and reporting unusual activity or policy concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment, depending on state and/or local regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Pay

$22.28 per hour

Daytime – Friday 4:30 PM – 8:30 PM; Saturday 9:30 AM – 8:30 PM
