Security Officer Part Time Key Control

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public by carrying out site‑specific access‑control procedures, government facility policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, manage visitor sign‑in processes, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Control access to restricted areas by following established credentialing, key, badge, and vehicle‑entry procedures; report access irregularities according to site protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; communicate observations promptly to appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and identify security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment, depending on state and/or local regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Daytime – Wednesday 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM; Thursday 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM
