Security Officer Part Time Key Control

About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while supporting a secure workplace.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to manufacturing and industrial facilities, including verifying credentials, issuing visitor badges, maintaining visitor logs, and directing authorized individuals to designated areas.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and documenting activities in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry points, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate access-control records, complete incident reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
