About the role

This Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position is a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career. As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Front Desk in Shippingport, PA, you’ll have reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: Pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours one week and full-time the next—it’s up to you. This role allows you to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor the front desk, greet visitors, verify credentials, maintain visitor records, and coordinate access with authorized site personnel.
• Answer and route calls, provide approved directions and information, and assist with deliveries and/or contractor arrivals in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor access control systems, alarms, and/or surveillance equipment from the front desk and report unusual activity or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, document events, and contact Allied Universal supervision, site personnel, and/or emergency services as appropriate.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
