Security Officer Part Time Identity Verification

About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer specializing in Identity Verification at a logistics and distribution site in Louisville, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients by screening personnel and visitors, monitoring access points, and reporting unusual activity. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with team members, and support security-related operations through a visible, dependable presence. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries in accordance with established access-control and screening procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, and document visitor or delivery activity as required.
• Respond to incidents, prohibited-item findings, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated screening areas, loading zones, and the business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws as a condition of employment.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations; may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Pay

$17.33 per hour.

Schedule

• Monday: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Tuesday: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Friday: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
