About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer (Identity Validation) in Chester, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you using our Claim a Shift platform. As a Screener, you will support a welcoming and secure environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, and communicating professionally with employees and guests.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel at a high-volume technology and logistics location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and deliveries in accordance with established access-control requirements; verify credentials and direct individuals to appropriate entry points.
• Operate screening equipment and follow established procedures for prohibited items, suspicious materials, and access exceptions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, and surrounding business perimeter to deter unauthorized access and report unusual conditions.

Requirements

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Friday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
