Security Officer - Part Time Hospital Patrol Driver

About the role

As a Security Officer - Part Time Hospital Patrol Driver in Poway, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in healthcare and other industries. This role involves welcoming patients, visitors, and staff, conducting entry screenings, monitoring access points, and communicating concerns while providing exceptional customer service. This driving post may also involve operating a vehicle in accordance with Allied Universal policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures and healthcare location policies.
• Screen individuals entering the location using approved procedures and equipment, and verify access credentials when required.
• Monitor entrances and screening areas for prohibited items, access concerns, and unusual activity, and report findings according to established protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, including requesting additional assistance when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate screening and incident records and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal personnel and designated healthcare staff.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
