As a Security Officer Part Time Hospital in Ojai, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with staff, visitors, and first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
- Monitor entrances, common areas, and sensitive locations, verifying access permissions and reporting security-related concerns according to site procedures.
- Support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff by giving directions, assisting with questions, and documenting daily activities and/or incidents accurately.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Compliance with hospital vaccine requirements is required.
- Must be able to work in a hospital setting that includes morgue areas.
- Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.
