Security Officer Part Time Hospital

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, surrounding grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and report unusual conditions, hazards, and/or policy violations to appropriate site personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and actions taken in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Requirements

• Must be willing to receive hospital-required vaccines.
• Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals as needed.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Must pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Skills

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
