Security Officer Part Time Health Services

About the role

Join Allied Universal in a dynamic healthcare location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, helping to verify authorized entry, provide directions, and support a professional environment for everyone at the location.
• Assist with security-related escorts, routine checks, and other assigned duties that support daily operations and/or continuity of care at the location.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Required vaccinations for a hospital environment are required.
• Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
• Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.

Skills

• Ability to work in a healthcare setting.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to respond calmly to emergencies.
• Knowledge of hospital policies and procedures.

$17.91 / Hour

Schedule

DayTime: Fri 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM, Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Sun 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
