Security Officer Part Time Front Desk

About the role

As a Front Desk Security Professional at a financial institution in Greenville, SC, you will welcome visitors, manage access control and badges, monitor alarm panels, and support a professional, secure environment. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with staff and guests, and help address security-related concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, employees, and/or vendors at the front desk of a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access to the location, greet and direct visitors, verify appointments or credentials as required, and maintain visitor logs in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Receive and route calls, deliveries, and communications while maintaining awareness of activity in the reception area.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly front-desk environment and help deter unauthorized access through consistent application of site access procedures.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Preferred Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Alarm panel experience.
• Customer service experience.
• Access control and badge experience.
