Security Officer Part Time Entry Screening

About the role
As an Access Control Officer supporting a residential community, you will monitor entry points, verify authorized access, maintain a professional presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to residents and visitors. Through teamwork, integrity, and a caring approach, you will help create a welcoming environment while supporting security-related operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and vendors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a residential community.
- Monitor vehicle and pedestrian entry points, verify authorization for access, document visitor and vendor information, and communicate entry requirements professionally.
- Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of community grounds, common areas, access points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Maintain accurate daily activity reports, access logs, and incident documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
Requirements
- A Guard Card/License is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
