As a driving security professional at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will manage access control, conduct routine patrols, support site traffic needs, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while contributing to a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative Allied Universal team that puts people first, delivers through teamwork, and acts with integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Monitor entry and exit points; verify credentials, visitor authorization, and contractor access in accordance with site requirements.
- Maintain accurate access-control records, issue and retrieve authorized badges or passes, and report discrepancies through established procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, facility areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
Requirements
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay Rate: $23.36 / Hour
- Position Type: Part Time
- Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday — 10:00 PM to 06:00 AM
