Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Screen employees, visitors, and/or vendors entering the location by following established entry procedures, checking identification, and reporting unusual activity to site leadership.
• Monitor entry points and help to deter unauthorized access by observing people and packages, verifying credentials, and documenting security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using appropriate communication with staff, visitors, and/or public officials.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around designated areas and the perimeter as assigned, noting conditions that may require a security-related response.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Possess a guard card or license preferred.
• Possess customer service experience preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
