As an Access Control Officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor badge activity, and support a secure environment for employees and visitors. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and use technology to document security-related activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to manufacturing and industrial locations by verifying credentials, documenting visitor activity, and directing authorized personnel, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, facility areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of visitor, contractor, vehicle, and key or badge activity, and report irregularities to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
