Security Officer Part Time Electronic Access Control

About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and vendors. You will use technology to document activity, communicate clearly, and help deter security-related incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, screen visitors and/or vehicles as required, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
• Control access to restricted production, warehouse, shipping, receiving, and administrative areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, perimeter locations, and assigned areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Pay

$17.17 / Hour

Schedule

• Monday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Thursday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
