Security Officer Part Time Driver Patrols
About the role
As a Security Officer Part Time Driver in Research Triangle Park, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations in accordance with site guidelines.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout commercial property buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report concerns.
- Monitor access points, observe site conditions, and communicate with property management and/or local contacts regarding security-related issues, maintenance concerns, or policy violations.
- Support daily operations at the location by assisting with visitor direction, answering routine questions, and following post orders for patrol, reporting, and incident response.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Qualifications
- Must be able to work flexible hours including day, night, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
- Good physical fitness and stamina.
- Basic computer skills.
