Security Officer Part Time Driver Entry Credential Validation

About the role
As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor visitor activity, and support a secure environment for personnel and operations. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly, and help address security-related concerns while reflecting Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven values. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor and control access to the chemical and petrochemical location by verifying credentials, processing visitors and contractors, maintaining entry records, and reporting access irregularities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific emergency procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, restricted areas, and the business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Help to deter unauthorized entry and support a professional, orderly environment through observation, communication, and timely reporting of security-related concerns.
Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
