Security Officer - Part Time Driver

As a Security Officer - Part Time Driver in Sparks, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access activity support, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner and document security-related events according to site policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance, access, and/or environmental concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, trespassing, and/or policy violations to site contacts and local responders when appropriate.
• Support continuity of location operations by communicating clearly with supervisors, site personnel, and/or public visitors during routine activities, service interruptions, and escalated situations.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement: 18 years for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
