Security Officer Part Time Customer Service

About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer at a food and beverage location in Hagerstown, MD, you will conduct routine unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security incidents, respond to concerns, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This role offers schedule flexibility through the Claim a Shift platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
• Observe and report conditions that may affect facility operations, food production areas, or security-related procedures, following established reporting protocols.

Requirements

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws; qualified applicants with criminal histories considered consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations; may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver's license required for driving positions only.

Pay

$18.50 per hour.

Schedule

Part-time. Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
