About the role
Join Allied Universal at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location in Corpus Christi, TX, as a Part-Time Security Officer. You will monitor access points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and help deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong communication. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and document arrivals, departures, and deliveries in accordance with site access protocols.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned areas, including the business perimeter and restricted access points, while reporting unusual conditions and security-related concerns.
- Help deter unauthorized access and policy violations by maintaining a visible presence, observing site activity, and following established screening and reporting procedures.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
- A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
