Security Officer Part Time Credential Verification

About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer focused on credential verification at a residential community in Loxahatchee, FL, you will manage entry points, verify visitors and credentials, monitor access activity, and provide welcoming customer service to residents and guests. You will maintain a visible presence, communicate professionally, and help support a secure environment. This position offers flexibility with the ability to build a schedule that works for you and claim additional shifts through the Claim a Shift platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, vendors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and manage entry and exit points, verify authorized access, maintain visitor and vendor logs, and communicate access concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, access-control issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential community grounds, common areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report security-related concerns.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and observations in accordance with site procedures, and communicate relevant information during shift transitions.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$19.57 per hour.

Schedule

Part-time. Saturday and Sunday, 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM.
