Security Officer Part Time Credential Verification

About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage production location, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by managing access points, verifying credentials, issuing badges, and monitoring visitor activity. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and support security-related operations through teamwork and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain accurate access-control logs in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to access-control alarms, unauthorized-entry concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-area perimeters, parking areas, and exterior grounds to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Support the orderly movement of people and deliveries by communicating site entry requirements and directing visitors, vendors, and contractors to appropriate check-in locations.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• CPR certification.
• Customer service experience.
• Access control and badge experience.

Pay

$18.50 / hour

Schedule

• Wednesday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thursday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Friday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
