About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer in Calhoun, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Access Control Officer, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and respond to alarms or access-related concerns while maintaining a visible presence and providing outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the manufacturing and industrial location by verifying credentials, issuing visitor badges, maintaining visitor logs, and directing authorized individuals to designated areas.
• Observe entry and exit points, loading areas, and restricted locations to help deter unauthorized access, theft, and other security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document and report observations according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility interior, exterior, perimeter, parking areas, and access points; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Preferred Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Access control/badge experience.
• Customer service experience.
• Guard card/license.
• Alarm panel experience.

Pay

$11.41 / hour

• Saturday: 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
• Sunday: 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
