Security Officer Part Time Commercial Patrol

The Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position in Boca Raton, FL provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts. Fixed‑shift commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): you will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule, requiring a six‑month commitment. Through the Claim‑A‑Shift program you can claim extra shifts via the scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites, allowing you to work part‑time one week and full‑time the next, scaling back as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property personnel while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property common areas, parking facilities, building perimeters, and other assigned locations to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points, visitor activity, and property conditions per site procedures; report observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, professionally, and in a problem‑solving manner; request additional assistance when needed.
- Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license (required per Allied Universal driver policy).
- Access control and badge experience preferred.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Minimum of 6 months of security experience.
- Guard card required.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
