Security Officer Part Time - Commercial Building

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential location in New York, NY, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, help to deter incidents through a visible presence, and support residents and visitors with exceptional customer service and communication. This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling options through our Claim a Shift platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential common areas, building entrances, lobbies, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, reporting unusual conditions, policy violations, and maintenance-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with site procedures.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age (18+ for unarmed roles).
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$17.00 - $17.25 per hour.

Schedule

• Daytime shifts: Monday and Sunday, 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM.
