About the role

As a Security Officer Part Time Checkpoint Operations in Santa Teresa, NM, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will manage entry points, verify badges and credentials, monitor access activity, and provide outstanding customer service. Your visible presence and clear communication will help deter security-related incidents while supporting smooth operations.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor and control access points for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel; verify credentials and maintain required entry and exit records.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Help to deter unauthorized access and security-related concerns by observing activity, reporting unusual conditions, and following established post orders.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Pay & Schedule

Pay Rate: $14.09 / Hour

Schedule: Thursday 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM, Saturday 01:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Sunday 01:00 PM - 11:00 PM
