Security Officer Part Time Building Lobby

About the role

As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will be the welcoming presence at a busy location in Baltimore, MD, greeting visitors, managing access, monitoring activity, and responding to security-related concerns. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while helping to maintain an orderly environment. This is a part-time position offering flexibility to build a schedule that works for you.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access to the location by greeting visitors, verifying identification and/or authorization, maintaining visitor records, and directing guests in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Receive and route telephone calls, packages, deliveries, and other inquiries in a professional manner while maintaining awareness of front-desk activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting events as required.
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and other front-desk records while assisting with security-related communications and administrative tasks.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
