Security Officer Part Time Badge Verification

About the role

As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, greet visitors, and support a welcoming environment for patients, staff, and guests. You will remain visible, communicate professionally, report security-related concerns, and help deter incidents through attentive access monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct individuals to appropriate locations in accordance with facility procedures.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or access-control concerns.
• Assist with maintaining a professional healthcare environment by communicating clearly, following site procedures, and documenting incidents and observations accurately.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
