About the role

As a Security Officer (Part‑Time Badge Verification) in Fresno, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as technology, media, and telecommunications. You will conduct routine unarmed patrols, monitor assigned areas, deter incidents through a visible presence, manage access‑control activities, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. The position offers a flexible schedule through the “Claim a Shift” platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and actions according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site policy, and report access‑control issues to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while providing professional support to on‑site personnel and visitors.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 6 months of security‑related experience.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screening as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment, depending on state/local regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Daytime: Tuesday 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM; Wednesday 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM
