Responsibilities

• Serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions.
• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, contractors, and vendors while carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑control protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and credentials, manage visitor sign‑in processes, and maintain accurate access‑related records.
• Control access to restricted areas in accordance with established policies, escalating unusual activity, unauthorized access attempts, and policy concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, communicating with site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of public spaces, staff areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Help create a welcoming environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing visitor access, and responding to security‑related concerns.
• Use technology to support access procedures, communicate professionally with guests and staff, and help deter incidents through a visible presence.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
