About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify badges and visitor access, monitor assigned areas, and support a secure environment. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while using computer or tablet systems to document activity and assist employees, visitors, and delivery personnel.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access to the facility by verifying credentials, monitoring entry and exit points, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing authorized personnel to designated areas.
• Monitor vehicle, trailer, and pedestrian traffic at gates and access points; assist with documenting arrivals, departures, and exceptions according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.

Pay

$17.56 / Hour

Schedule

• Friday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Saturday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
