Security Officer - Part Time

About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer at our Curaleaf cultivation facility, you will help protect people, property, and products while maintaining a safe and secure environment.

Responsibilities

• Protect the facility by walking the property, checking buildings, equipment, and access points, and making sure all doors and gates are locked and secure
• Watch surveillance cameras and other security systems to spot any issues or unusual activity
• Check and maintain security equipment by doing routine tests, making small adjustments, reporting problems, and helping evaluate new tools or technology
• Control access by greeting and authorizing employees, visitors, and deliveries entering or leaving the facility
• Investigate concerns and report anything suspicious to the Security Manager or local police as needed
• Respond to alarms quickly and follow established procedures to keep everyone safe
• Complete accurate reports and keep records up to date, making sure all documentation is clear and turned in on time

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license for the state where you are applying
• At least 25 years old
• Previous experience in security, safety, law enforcement, or the military
• Ability to stay calm, communicate clearly, and de-escalate conflicts in everyday or emergency situations
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in safety or security, law enforcement, or military background
• Training and certification in First Aid and CPR
• Training in non-violent communication, conflict de-escalation, and assertiveness

Pay

$21.00 - $24.50/hr

Schedule

Saturday and Sunday 6:45am - 12pm (both days) plus filling in for PTO
