Life doesn’t always follow a fixed schedule. That’s why we created the Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader.
As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Guest Relations in Oak Brook, IL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.
Pay
$20.96 / hour
Schedule
- Fixed-shift commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
- Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours one week and full-time the next—up to 40 hours per week—with the option to scale back when needed.
- Example shift: Wednesday 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Provide a welcoming, professional front desk presence for visitors, clients, and employees at a luxury retail location.
- Verify visitor access, maintain required logs, issue credentials as directed, and communicate entry requirements in accordance with site-specific policies.
- Monitor front desk activity and security-related systems, reporting unusual activity, access concerns, and maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, courteous, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
- Support a positive customer experience by providing directions, answering general inquiries, and coordinating with store leadership and Allied Universal personnel as needed.
Requirements
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
