Security Officer Part Time

About the role

Apart from serving and safeguarding clients in various industries like Commercial Real Estate, you will also contribute to a culture that positively impacts the communities and customers we serve.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report conditions to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify concerns and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, verify authorized access when required, and document security-related observations, incidents, and/or maintenance issues.
• Support daily operations at the location by assisting with crowd and visitor management, directing foot traffic, and communicating professionally with the public during routine and unexpected situations.

Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement: 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21 years old for armed roles.
• Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Must pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses and certifications may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
