Security Officer (Part Time)

About the role

A Security Officer contributes to AHF by protecting the company’s assets and ensuring the safety of its staff, tenants, contractors, guests and visitors at AHF’s sites, including Healthy Housing (HHF) properties. The role involves implementing security strategies and policies to protect personnel and assets (including inventory of donations) at Healthy Housing tenant facilities, maintaining a friendly, professional and disciplined demeanor, advocating for AHF’s top initiatives, keeping AHF Core Values and Mission top of mind, collaborating with Healthy Housing operational staff, utilizing the Safety and Security Incident Reporting System to submit detailed reports, and adapting flexibly to various situations to add consistent value to AHF/HHF.

Responsibilities

• Protect company assets and ensure safety of staff, tenants, contractors, guests and visitors at AHF sites, including Healthy Housing (HHF) properties.
• Implement security strategies and policies designed to protect personnel and assets, including inventory of donations, at Healthy Housing tenant facilities.
• Maintain a friendly, professional and disciplined demeanor while recognizing and responding to potentially dangerous situations in the safest and most effective manner.
• Act as a passionate advocate for AHF’s top initiatives and keep AHF Core Values and Mission top of mind in all duties.
• Collaborate with Healthy Housing operational staff to establish and maintain working relationships that support a safe and secure environment.
• Utilize the existing Safety and Security Incident Reporting System to submit detailed reports of events and situations encountered while on duty.
• Adapt to various situations with ease and demonstrate flexibility to add consistent value to AHF/HHF.

Requirements

• Active Security Guard Card (license) is required.
