Security Officer (Part Time)

About the role

A Security Officer contributes to AHF by protecting the company’s assets and ensuring the safety of its staff, tenants, contractors, guests and visitors at AHF’s sites, including Healthy Housing (HHF) properties. In this role you will leverage your security training and be responsible for implementing strategies that protect personnel and assets (including inventory of donations) at healthy housing tenant facilities, implementing policies and procedures to achieve the mission, enhancing AHF’s reputation through friendly, professional and disciplined performance, recognizing and responding to dangerous situations safely and effectively, advocating for AHF’s top initiative, keeping AHF Core Values and Mission top of mind, adapting to a dynamic environment to provide the best experience for clients and employees, working within a collaborative structure as part of a close‑knit team with Healthy Housing operational staff to maintain a safe and secure environment, utilizing the Safety and Security Incident Reporting System to submit detailed reports of events and situations, and adding consistent value by adapting to various situations with ease and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Protect company assets and ensure safety of staff, tenants, contractors, guests and visitors at AHF sites, including Healthy Housing properties.
• Leverage security training to implement strategies that protect personnel and assets (including inventory of donations) at healthy housing tenant facilities.
• Implement policies and procedures designed to achieve the security mission.
• Maintain a friendly, professional and disciplined demeanor while recognizing potentially dangerous situations and responding in the safest and most effective manner.
• Act as a passionate advocate for AHF’s top initiative.
• Ensure AHF Core Values and Mission remain top of mind in all duties.
• Adapt to a dynamic environment to provide the best experience for clients and a safe workplace for employees.
• Work as part of a close‑knit team, establishing and maintaining working relationships with Healthy Housing operational staff to ensure a safe and secure environment.
• Utilize the existing Safety and Security Incident Reporting System to submit detailed reports of events and situations that occur while on duty.
• Add consistent value to AHF/HHF by adapting to various situations with ease and flexibility.

Requirements

Active Security Guard Card is required.
