Security Officer Part Time Armed Patrol Driver

About the role
As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government transportation testing location in Auburndale, FL, you will conduct routine vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. This driving post calls for strong communication and customer service while supporting access control and site operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to government transportation facility personnel and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, roadways, testing areas, parking locations, and perimeter boundaries, reporting unusual conditions and maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, contractors, and vehicles entering restricted areas.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services.
- Maintain required licensing and follow all applicable laws, post orders, and Allied Universal policies related to authorized armed duties.
Requirements
- At least five years of security-related experience is required.
- An armed guard card or license is preferred.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

- Sunday: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
