Security Officer - Part Time Armed Patrol

About the role

As an Armed Security Officer supporting a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This role requires an armed guard card or license and offers the opportunity to represent our agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture through teamwork and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, store associates, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor retail sales-floor areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report suspicious activity, policy concerns, and potential loss-prevention issues.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with store leadership, emergency responders, and/or law enforcement as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and surrounding property, documenting observations, incidents, and actions taken in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain a professional armed presence while following applicable laws, company requirements, and site-specific procedures for access control, incident reporting, and emergency response.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$35.00 / Hour

• Wednesday: 03:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Thursday: 03:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Friday: 09:00 AM - 03:30 PM
• Saturday: 09:00 AM - 03:30 PM
