Security Officer - Part Time Armed Driver

How This Role Works

Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following security-related procedures, healthcare location policies, and emergency response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, and perimeters to help identify suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with clinical staff and/or emergency responders.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and access points to help prevent unauthorized entry while maintaining a respectful environment for patients and visitors.
• Carry and maintain assigned firearms and equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, licensing requirements, and applicable laws.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Possess a valid armed guard card/license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
