About the role

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location in Elmwood Park, IL, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and support a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility interiors, exterior grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, directing visitors, and documenting entries and exits in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for patrol findings, incidents, and other security-related observations.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
