Security Officer Part Time Afternoon Hospital Patrol

About the role

As a Part-Time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Healthcare. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you using our Claim a Shift platform. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, patient care areas, parking facilities, entrances, and perimeter locations to identify unusual conditions and support a welcoming environment.
• Monitor access points, assist with visitor management procedures, and provide directions or escorts as assigned while maintaining a professional presence.
• Complete required reports, activity logs, and incident documentation, and communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age (18+ for unarmed roles).
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Customer service experience and comfort using a computer or tablet are preferred.

Pay

$20.46 per hour.
