Security Officer Part Time Afternoon

About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and maintain a visible presence that helps deter incidents. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors, support security-related procedures, and contribute to a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, security-related policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorized access, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and delivery records.
• Screen personnel, vehicles, and materials in accordance with site requirements, escalating unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to access-control incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, facility areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Day shift: Saturday 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Day shift: Sunday 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
