About the role

As an Access Control Security Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, controlling visitor access, and documenting security-related activity. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with personnel and guests, and remain visible to help deter incidents.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor and control entry and exit points by verifying identification, authorizations, visitor registrations, contractor credentials, and vehicle access requirements.
  • Maintain accurate access-control records, issue and recover visitor or contractor credentials, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following site-specific procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or potential security-related concerns.

Requirements

  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$18.50 / Hour

Schedule

  • Monday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
  • Tuesday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
